Yuzu Drag press kit: product facts and coverage notes
Updated:
The Yuzu Drag press kit gives reviewers the product description and limits needed to cover the app accurately. Yuzu Drag is a macOS menu-bar utility for converting files, running file tools and choosing actions while dragging a selection.
Short description
Yuzu Drag brings a file-operation wheel to a Finder drag. Tap ⇧ for Convert, ⌘ for Tools, or ⌘ again for Actions, then drop on a choice. It runs on macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
These are the default keys; you can change them in Settings. For folders or mixed file types, ⌘ can open Actions directly.
For a concrete example, drag a HEIC photo, tap ⇧ and drop on JPG to create a converted copy. Float provides a temporary shelf for files while you navigate to a destination. Availability of native formats depends on macOS support.
A reviewer's first walkthrough
Finder and Preview already handle many one-off file tasks. Compare Yuzu with those built-in choices before deciding whether its repeated drag workflow suits your readers.
- Install the official download and open the app.
- Begin dragging a supported file in Finder.
- Tap ⇧ to inspect Convert, or ⌘ to inspect Tools.
- Tap ⌘ again for Actions and drop on the choice you want to demonstrate.
- Show the real output alongside the source rather than presenting a simulated size reduction.
Conversions create new files. Move and Rename, when chosen, affect the originals. Do not describe the temporary shelf as cloud storage or a backup.
Privacy wording for coverage
The app sends no analytics. Its file tools need neither Accessibility nor Input Monitoring permission. Clipboard auto-paste in the direct-download build needs Accessibility approval in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Without approval, or in the Mac App Store build, copy the item and paste it manually with ⌘V. Normal file and folder access still applies. Website GA4 records site visits and clicks, not app usage.
There are explicit sharing exceptions. Upload sends files to the user's own S3-compatible bucket. Filebin sends a copy to filebin.net and creates a temporary public-by-link share. Anyone with that link can open it. These are user-chosen network operations, not offline processing.
The website uses Google Analytics 4. Keep the distinction between site measurement and app behavior when describing privacy.
